With over 35 years of practicing dentistry and orthodontics, Dr. Colon has a widespread web of knowledge and experience in the dental profession. He earned his DMD degree at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry as an officer in the US Armed Forces, established a tenured successful dental practice in Puerto Rico, and earned his Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Specializing in orthodontics, Dr. Colon made Miami, Florida his home in 1992, where he has continuously earned the respect of his peers and a loyal patient following. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontics, and the South Florida Academy of Orthodontics. Continuing education is important to Dr. Colon, as he is experienced in the most cutting-edge technology; techniques including self-litigating bracket systems, Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs), Invisalign ®, and lingual orthodontics with the Harmony ® Appliance. Engaged in the community, Dr. Colon provides his expertise to Smiles Change Lives, among other organizations.
